Sales in the BiH agricultural sector need innovations
New trainings about online marketing took place in Banja Luka and Tuzla
USAID/Sweden FARMA II organized new trainings for farmers and small producers on the use of information technologies. Trainings took place in Banja Luka and Tuzla. All participants agree that sales in the agricultural sector in BiH need innovations, especially in relation to one-to-one communication with customers on the domestic market.
"In this segment of communication in the domestic markets, small producers often face challenges in finding an adequate place to sell. It is difficult to reach out to the larger markets and retail centers, sometimes we have no production that can follow this kind of demand. However, good foundation for growth and development is the sale through direct communication with a potential buyer, and it is necessary to use all the tools available to us, "said one of the participants in the training in Banja Luka.
The program focuses on online marketing, visualization and communication with users.
"We talked about social networks, the importance of using online communication channels. It is extremely important to adapt the way we talk about new media, so that it is also easy to accept and use for all users and participants in the training. Selling via online tools is becoming an increasingly common way for sellers in agriculture to reach customers. And that's something small producers recognize. Now it's important to use this knowledge and make a breakthrough on the market," the USAID/Sweden FARMA II project representatives concluded.
