September 15 - deadline for submitting grant applications in dairy and berry sectors

The applications must be delivered electronically via e-mail at grants@farmabih.ba and in hard copy to one of the USAID/Sweden FARMA II offices (Sarajevo, Tuzla, Banja Luka or Mostar) no later than 4.00 p.m. on September 15, 2016. The applicants should follow the application instructions provided in the RfA documents.

Training on Lumpy Skin Disease in Czech Republic

The USAID/Sweden FARMA II project and the Czech Development Agency (CzDA) have secured the training on Lumpy Skin Disease for two experts from Bosnia and Herzegovina. This training will take place in Czech Republic, September 12-16th. Experts are appointed by the Sarajevo Veterinary Faculty and the RS Veterinary Institute "Dr. Vaso Butozan" from Banja Luka.

Poultry and milk producers to visit AGRA 2016 Fair in Slovenia

The USAID/Sweden FARMA II project is organizing a visit for 24 milk and poultry producers to the 54th International Fair of Agriculture and Food AGRA 2016, which will take place is Gornja Radgona, Slovenia. Within this visit, a training will be organized at the Ptuj Agricultural Institute, the fair will be visited during the Livestock day, and a visit to a large dairy farm is planned.

Farmers that will participate in this visit were appointed by the RS Association of Milk Producers, RS Association of Poultry producers, FBiH Association of Milk Producers and FBiH Association of Poultry Producers.

Internships in Slovenian cheese processing plants for students from five BiH agricultural faculties

The USAID/Sweden FARMA II project will organize internships in four Slovenian cheese processing plants for about 20 students from five agricultural / food processing faculties in BiH.

Info sessions for grant applicants from the berry and dairy sectors

Sarajevo & Banja Luka

Information sessions will be organized on August 17, 2016, at 11:00 am in Sarajevo, in UNITIC Business Center (Fra Anđela Zvizdovića 1, mezzanine) and August 19, 2016, at 11:00 am in Banja Luka, in the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of RS, Đure Daničića 1/II, to discuss the Scope of Work and to provide instructions for submitting applications to interested producer organizations.

All organizations interested in submitting proposals are encouraged to participate in one of these events (RSVP via email grants@farmabih.ba by August 10, 11:00). 

Please note that this call is not open to individual farmers.

USAID Mission Director to visit the RS Poultry Association
