Twenty women from Bratunac received the training prior to the planned exhibitions in October.

In preparation for the two trade fairs planned in mid-October in Bratunac and Tuzla, twenty women from Bratunac region were trained today on "How to exhibit at local trade fairs". These women are members of associations Maja Kravica, Jadar Konjevic Polje, Drina Burnice and informal women groups Suha and Cerska.

This training was delivered by USAID/Sweden FARMA II as a part of a three-day seminar on Strengthening the women in rural areas, which is organized by Vive Zene association from Tuzla and funded by the Swedish foundation Olaf Palme.

October 15th is the International Day of Rural Women and is observed since 2008. This day recognizes “the critical role and contribution of rural women, including indigenous women, in enhancing agricultural and rural development, improving food security and eradicating rural poverty.”
