Event gathered representatives from public and private sector relevant for poultry production

Foreign Trade Chamber of Bosnia and Herzegovina hosted today’s presentation of USAID/Sweden FARMA II research of the poultry market in Croatia, designed to help the potential exporters understand the market and the changes that took place since 2012, the last year that Bosnia and Herzegovina was eligible to export poultry there. Back in 2012, Bosnia and Herzegovina was one of the main suppliers of the Croatian poultry market, selling over 14 million BAM per year and having a strong market share – for example 85% of total imports in the category of fresh poultry cuts. However, when Croatia joined the EU these exports stopped. Today’s session was about potential and new opportunities preparing for the moment that EU markets will open its doors to BiH poultry products.
