Sweden/USAID FARMA II project organized the visit for students of agricultural schools to selected companies owned by women.

As part of marking International Women’s Day (March 8), Sweden/USAID FARMA II organized the visit of 17 female students from high agricultural schools from Capljina and Bileca to company Ljbilje in Ljubinje.

Ms. Slobodanka Popovic, once the employee and today a co-owner of Ljbilje, presented the facilities where medicinal and aromatic plants are processed into final products, and packaged for market placement.

Students also saw the plantations, greenhouse, and nursery. In an open discussion, Ms. Popovic talked about her professional path, and strongly encouraged young students to be persistent in gaining new knowledge and goals achievement.
