Public calls for the award of grants in the fruit and vegetables, medicinal and aromatic plants and honey sectors were issued on September 19th and the applications are due by October 19th.

USAID/Sweden FARMA II project launched three new public calls for the award of grants in the agricultural sector, in the following areas:
- Increasing competitiveness of immortelle production and processing
- Support to economic empowerment of women through value adding in MAP and honey sector
- Improving competitiveness through value adding in the fruit and vegetables sector

Interested organizations that are legally registered and recognized under the laws of Bosnia and Herzegovina can download the RFA package from USAID/Sweden FARMA II project website (

The Applications must be delivered electronically via e-mail at and in hard copy to one of the USAID/Sweden FARMA II offices (Sarajevo, Tuzla, Banja Luka or Mostar) no later than 4.00 p.m. on October 19, 2016. The applicants should follow the application instructions provided in the RfA documents.

USAID/Sweden FARMA II will organize info session in Mostar on October 5, 2016 at 11:00 hours (INTERA tchnological park, Bisce polje bb, Mostar) for the call related to increasing competitiveness of immortelle production and processing, and in Sarajevo on October 6 at 14:00 hours (UNITIC business center, Fra Andjela Zvizdovica 1, Sarajevo) for the other two calls. During these meetings, the Scope of Work will be discussed and instructions for submitting applications provided to interested producer organizations.

All organizations interested in submitting proposals are encouraged to participate in these events (RSVP via email by the dates provided in the calls). All clarifications and directions, as well as any changes to the dates or locations specified here, will be issued by email address or published at USAID/Sweden FARMA II website.
